As a mother of a four year old and a more than full time holding three jobs down working architect, college professor and momprenurer – I don’t have any free time- ever. But I’ve read every one of the Peter and the monsters stories you have published on Barnes and Noble and I need a new fix…. I want to read the rest of anything you have written as soon as possible! Thank you for your stories – I have read more books than I can count and so far you are my favorite author! Thank you for keeping me entertained on sleepless nights, getting me out of dealing with real world issues and for always making me laugh out loud when I truly needed it.

I’m currently reading volume 3 and I’m truly enjoying all the stories so far. I was just wondering, will a volume 4 be coming out anytime soon? Keep on writing!!!

    Thanks, Christine and Stephanie!

Stephanie – I just posted a new entry about new volumes versus the single stories. Here it is:

I just wanted to pop over and wag my finger at you, for having kept me glued to my Kindle the past 2 weeks, voraciously downloading and reading the Peter and the Monsters series. It isn’t often a book or series actually pulls me so far into its world, that people can talk at me from 3 feet away, and I hear them not. Kudos, and a huge thank you. Tremendous fun!

    • darrenpillsbury says:

      Hey Marcia,

Thanks so much! I really appreciate that! And I’ll take that kind of scolding any day of the week! 🙂

So, these are the orders of the stories, but in the Kindle store, they are collected together by volume, which contain like 3 or 4 stories together? It would be helpful if you had a graphic or a spacer to show which order the volumes were and what was collected in them.

    • darrenpillsbury says:

Dan, your wish is my command. Check out the new graphics showing which stories are in the Collected Volumes.

This series is amazing I have never been so absorbed by a book, it’s just amazing.
I also read your hardcore horror books , after Peter and the dead men you became my favorite author and told everyone I know about your books , my best friend bought a kindle just to read your books the right way. Any way I hope you continue this series for a while

    • darrenpillsbury says:

      Hey Jason!

Thanks so much for the kind words – and thanks for telling your friend! I really, REALLY appreciate that!

I’ll definitely be continuing the series for awhile. Just to give you an idea, I’m thinking it’s going to run for roughly 50-60 books. I just put out #27 – Peter And The New Best Friend – so we’ve got a ways to go. Some huge events are in store after #28 (Peter And The Zombies), so stay tuned!

Thanks again for reading my books!

I love your books, this series is the first I downloaded on my Nook. It took a wile to get around to reading the first because I was confused by the title on the cover and the ones on the inside but once I started I couldent stop. My favorite ‘monster’ is Dark Peter, because he’s so fun and well…. dark. But the original is also my favorite, I’ve always been a sap for the ‘goody-too-shose’ characters even if he’s not like that 24-7. Please don’t stop wrighting this series, its just to much fun.
Thanks for all the laughs and scares, 🙂 Dawn
(P.S. Have you ever thought of making Peter lose his memory of monsters? Just a thought.)

    • darrenpillsbury says:

      Hey Dawn!

Haha – I’m glad you like Dark Peter, he’s actually my favorite villain to write. He’s just so much fun… plus he’s such a punk. ORGAN GRINDER was fun to write anyway (a guy with a New Yawk accent and a thousand murderous monkeys? I’m in), but having Dark Peter guest star really was the cherry on the sundae. Veedermeier is probably my second favorite… and he’ll be making a guest appearance very soon…

No, I actually hadn’t thought about that (Peter losing his memories of monsters)… that could be a really funny one, with him freaking out, and Dill having to explain everything, even though HE DOESN’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT. I’ll give it some thought about where I might be able to use it. Thanks!

Thanks so much for reading my books!

  8. Theresa says:

  10. Ethan says:

    Keep writing plz
imalready on my second time though and im still laughing at every joke ps have you thought a peter and the girlfreind?

    • darrenpillsbury says:

      Hi Ethan!

Sorry it’s taken me so long to write back.

I hadn’t thought of PETER AND THE GIRLFRIEND, but now that you mention it, it could be a great idea! I know the next four books, but after that, I have to plan out a whole bunch more, so that could be one of them.

Thanks for reading my books – and by the way, PETER AND THE PAST is out now!

Be careful, though, it’s pretty dark and really sad…

Just wanted to say thank you for writing this incredible series. I, along with many others have enjoyed your work and can’t wait to read what’s next for Peter and Dill.
How soon could we see #31?

    Keep up the great work!

Just wanted to say thank you for writing this incredible series. As an avid fan of the horror genre, this is a welcomed entry that really sets itself apart. I’ve especially enjoyed your spin on some of the “old school” characters of horror with a up to date and refreshing take. Any word on when book #31 will be released?

    Keep up the good work!
